‘Monkey Movie’

‘Monkey Movie’ is a group graduation film from The Animation Workshop. It started development during 2020, and is currently in post-production. The short comes out in early 2024, and will be linked here.
I like testing movement when designing characters, making sure the design can support the performance needed from it. These designs are meant for dynamic action animation, with heavy use of favors.
As art director I had a really fun time, having a hand in every part of the process. During pre-production I lead character designing, and concepting for background, along with some storyboard work. During production, I led the background team and did drawovers for animators, to help the characters stay on model and in strong poses.
